Benton has gone a perfect 4-0 against Shiloh Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wampus Cats 25-21 in the first set.
Benton took Conway into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-13, 25-14, 16-25, 15-13.
Meanwhile, Shiloh Christian came up short against Farmington on Thursday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Saints in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost three in a row.
Shiloh Christian was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Farmington work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 27-25.
Benton will have to keep a close watch on Bristol Bonanno and Kennedy Brown, a pair of players who had a big impact on Shiloh Christian's prior game. Bonanno had 17 digs and one assist, while Brown had 15 assists. Bonanno has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last seven times she's played.
Benton's loss dropped their record down to 21-9. As for Shiloh Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-14-1.
