Football Recap: Carlin Finds Playoff Glory Versus Wells

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Carlin had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 46-12 victory over the Wells Leopards. The Railroaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carlin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dylan Ramirez, who rushed for 213 yards and three TDs on only 15 carries, and also picked up 70 receiving yards and one score. Ramirez's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 12th straight game with at least 102 rushing yards dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Gage Lewis, who rushed for 144 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.0 yards per carry.

Carlin's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.8 points over those games. As for Wells, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-6.

Coming up, Carlin will square off against Tonopah at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Railroaders will need to watch out since the Muckers have now posted at least 31 points in their last five matchups. Wells does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
