In what's become a running theme this season, the Valley Center Jaguars gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 66-42 margin over Escondido. The win was some much needed relief for Valley Center as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Carson Yoder continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. He hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Kevin Garcia was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Valley Center's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Escondido, they bumped their record down to 7-11 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Center will face off against Fallbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Samuel Carmona and Yoder. As for Escondido, they will head out on the road to square off against San Pasqual at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
