The Summertown Eagles entered their tilt with the Mars Hill Bible Panthers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Summertown strolled past Mars Hill Bible with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 71-54. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Summertown also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2017.
Summertown had a senior duo take command as Karlie Campbell scored 15 points along with seven assists and Alivia Riggs went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 19 points and 0 assists. The match was Campbell's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mckenzie Runnels, who scored nine points.
Summertown has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Mars Hill Bible, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-2.
Summertown won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Collinwood at 2:00 p.m. on December 20th. Collinwood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while Summertown is ranked 31st). Mars Hill Bible is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Rogers at 2:30 p.m. on December 27th.
