The New Hanover Wildcats won the last time they faced the Coastal Christian Centurions, and things went their way on Tuesday too. New Hanover put the hurt on Coastal Christian with a sharp 64-38 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for New Hanover.
CJ Kornegay was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Zeus Batts, who scored 11 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals.
Despite the loss, Coastal Christian still got an impressive performance from Aidan Davies, who scored 22 points. Davies scored a full 57.9% of Coastal Christian's points, the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Holden Martin was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
New Hanover's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Coastal Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
New Hanover will be playing at home against Cardinal Gibbons at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Coastal Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wilson Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on December 8th.
