Elliot Mercer and Co. Win Sixth in a Row
Albany picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Elliot Mercer. Mercer rushed for 274 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 15.2 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up two sacks and making eight total tackles (3.0 for loss).

The matchup was his fourth straight with two or more rushing touchdowns dating back to last season. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made five total tackles.
The win made it two in a row for Worth County/Northeast Nodaway and bumps their season record up to 4-2. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Tigers takes on Pattonsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
