The Zane Trace Pioneers will challenge the Adena Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Adena took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Zane Trace, who comes in off a win.
Zane Trace is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 69-0 victory over Paint Valley. The Pioneers haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Brice Johnson produced another solid effort rushing for 104 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries. Zane Trace is undefeated when Johnson posts 100 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Payne, who rushed for 32 yards and two touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Zane Trace was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 321 rushing yards. They are a perfect 6-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Zane Trace's defense and their four sacks. Lukas Oiler was especially locked on to Paint Valley's QB and sacked him twice. Gunnar McCullough got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Adena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Huntington, falling 40-14. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 15, 2021, but that streak is no more.
Zane Trace's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Adena, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
Everything went Zane Trace's way against Adena when the teams last played back in September of 2024, as Zane Trace made off with a 27-6 win. In that matchup, the Pioneers amassed a halftime lead of 21-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
