Ritchie County is 2-8 against the Blue Devils since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Ritchie County Rebels will head out on the road to face off against the St. Marys Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. Ritchie County is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, Ritchie County came up short against the Titans and fell 44-34.
Ritchie County's defeat came about despite a quality game from Bodhi Utter, who scored 13 points along with two steals. Jonah Hamilton was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, St. Marys scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Tyler 75-54. The win was just what St. Marys needed coming off of a 69-45 defeat in their prior game.
Ritchie County's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for St. Marys, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.
Ritchie County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Blue Devils when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 42-38 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ritchie County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
