While Lamar County put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Sulligent. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Blue Devils with a sharp 10-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won seven in a row.

Ridge Brown made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 15 over six innings pitched. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Brooks Brown was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March. Dawson Brock also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Lamar County's record now sits at 11-9. As for Sulligent, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lamar County and Sulligent will both be playing South Lamar the next time they take the field. The Blue Devils will host the Stallions at 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Bulldogs will host them at 4:30 p.m. on the 17th.
