Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Lyford's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost to Santa Rosa on the road by a decisive 69-55 margin. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
IDEA Riverview dropped their record down to 0-8 with that loss, which was their 13th straight at home. As for Lyford, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-13.
IDEA Riverview was taken down by Lyford 66-27 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can IDEA Riverview avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
