The Trinity Trojans will be home for the holidays to greet the Boswell Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 312th, while Boswell is ranked sixth).
Last Friday, Trinity ended up a good deal behind Bell and lost 48-31.
Boswell has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 22 points or more this season. They breezed by Chisholm Trail at home to the tune of 67-21. Winning may never get old, but Boswell sure is getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
Boswell can attribute much of their success to Salena Carrasco, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals, and Camille Williams, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. The match was Carrasco's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sydney Durrah, who scored seven points along with seven assists and three steals.
Trinity's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Boswell, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-2.
Things could have been worse for Trinity, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-38 loss to Boswell when the teams last played back in January. Can Trinity avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
