Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Altavista). They put the hurt on the Chatham Cavaliers with a sharp 16-5 win on Friday. Surprisingly, this marked the sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Altavista pushed their record up to 4-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Chatham, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Altavista will host Cumberland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Dukes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.5 runs per game on average), something the Colonels will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Chatham, they will head out on the road to face off against Appomattox County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
