Morton entered their tilt with Quitman on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went their way against Quitman as they made off with a 14-6 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-5 last Tuesday.

Morton now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Quitman, they dropped their record down to 7-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Morton will venture away from home to square off against Scott Central at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Quitman, they will face off against Stringer at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Quitman has given up an average of 8.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
