The Ponte Vedra Sharks will square off against the Fletcher Senators at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Tuesday, Ponte Vedra didn't have quite enough to beat Providence School and fell 5-4. The Sharks have struggled against the Stallions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Ponte Vedra got a good showing from Dylan McAdoo, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave McAdoo a new career-high in strikeouts (five).
On the hitting side, Ponte Vedra saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Storm Lickliter, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another was Cole Rambler, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, it may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Fletcher ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Bishop Kenny, sneaking past 2-1.
Fletcher also got a great performance from Bruce Neel as he struck out seven batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk).
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jakeb McDougall, who went a perfect5-for-5 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those doubles marked the first that he's hit this season.
Fletcher kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Fletcher now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Ponte Vedra, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Ponte Vedra has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Fletcher struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Ponte Vedra was able to grind out a solid victory over Fletcher in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, winning 7-3. Will Ponte Vedra repeat their success, or does Fletcher have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
