While Hayden's win against Superior wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lobos narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Panthers 4-3. The win was nothing new for the Lobos as they're now sitting on four straight.

The team relied heavily on Alejandro Waddell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Tyler Garner, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Hayden's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Superior, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hayden will welcome Morenci at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Superior, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Lincoln Prep at 3:45 p.m. The Lightning have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.4 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
