Basketball Recap: Wheaton Academy Victorious + How To Watch

Wheaton Academy hasn't had much luck on the road recently (they'd lost six straight dating back to last season) but thanks in part to Noelle Nichols that streak is no more. The Warriors enjoyed a cozy 55-37 victory over the Harvest-Westminster Warrior-Lions on Tuesday with plenty of help from Nichols, who shot 80% from the field en route to 18 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. Nichols is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Another player making a difference was Ava Biagini, who posted 11 points and three steals. She has become a key player for Wheaton Academy: the team is 2-1 when she posts at least three steals, but 1-2 otherwise.

Harvest-Westminster's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Paige Nestrick, who went 5-for-10 on her way to 10 points and eight boards, and Adyson Nelsen, who shot 45% from the field to rack up 14 points. Nestrick also posted a block, marking her first of the season. Kelly McLoughlin was another key player, putting up seven points and five rebounds.

The win got Wheaton Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Harvest-Westminster, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Wheaton Academy has already played their next matchup, a 55-37 victory against Harvest Christian Academy on the 2nd. As for Harvest-Westminster, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-36 defeat against Johnsburg on the 4th.
