Despite the loss, Tupelo still got an impressive performance from Jaeden Hill, who rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns. Hill's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 120 rushing yards.
Tupelo's defeat dropped their record down to 13-2. As for Gulfport, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2.
