Football Recap: Maryvale Skates Past Washington with Ease

Maryvale never let their opponents score on Friday. They breezed past the Washington Rams to the tune of 43-0. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 31 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Maryvale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Messan Alokpovi, who threw for 260 yards and five TDs on only 17 passes. Alokpovi is becoming a predictor of the Panthers' success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 2-4 when he doesn't). Julien Alokpovi did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 131 receiving yards.

Maryvale pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.0 points on average over those games. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

As of now, neither Maryvale nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
