The biggest upset of the week belonged to St. Joseph, who took down 272nd ranked Kennedy Memorial, 35-13.
Tyler Rodriguez and Erik Fruscella provided fans with a highlight when they connected against South Plainfield. The connection went for 75 yards, the longest such play in Greater Middlesex - White this season.
Carteret's dynamic duo of Rodriguez and Fruscella proved tough for the Tigers to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Rodriguez threw for 207 yards and three touchdowns and Fruscella had 145 yards receiving. Naji Johnson helped Carteret's passing attack out by catching one ball for 28 yards.
Sam Pero was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 148 yards on 26 carries as Colonia beat South Plainfield. Treny Barneys also contributed to the rushing game with 31 yards on the ground.
Carteret's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Ramblers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Rodriguez has thrown for 454 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Fruscella has nine catches for 247 yards. Jerod Johnson leads the league in rushing with 407 yards.
A big matchup in Greater Middlesex - White this week will be when the Patriots take on Perth Amboy. Colonia is currently in first, while the Panthers are in seventh.
Bishop Ahr was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from ninth to fourth in the league. The Trojans defeated Perth Amboy 32-3 earlier in the week.
