After flying high against the Cook Hornets last Friday, the Worth County Rams came back down to earth. Worth County was dealt a 67-30 defeat at the hands of Sumter County on Tuesday. Worth County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-16.
Jariah Williams was Worth County's leading scorer, having posted 14 points. Williams also led the team in rebounds with eight.
Mikhayla Stephens took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Worth County now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Sumter County, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-6.
Worth County will be playing at home against Berrien at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Berrien is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Sumter County, they will head out on the road to challenge Jeff Davis at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jeff Davis is out to stop a eight-game streak of losses at home.
