The Spanish River Sharks have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against Forest Hill by a score of 45-38 on Tuesday. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Spanish River has managed all season.
Ethan Litten was the offensive standout of the game as he dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Forest Hill still got an impressive performance from Cameran Phillips, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Tyler Dimaggio-Sydnor was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Spanish River's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Forest Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
Spanish River and Seminole Ridge will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Seminole Ridge has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8. As for Forest Hill, they will head out on the road to challenge King's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. King's Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Forest Hill in Florida (King's Academy is ranked 205th, while Forest Hill is ranked 482nd).
