The Parkway South Patriots had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 54-41 victory over Hazelwood West on Thursday. For Parkway South, this counts as revenge for the 52-44 defeat Hazelwood West walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Parkway South's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eddie Ahearn led the charge by scoring 16 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Braden Eye, who scored ten points.
Parkway South's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-12. As for Hazelwood West, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing McCluer North the next time they take the court. Parkway South will host McCluer North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Hazelwood West will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
