In what's become a running theme this season, the Mount Si Wildcats gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They put the hurt on Roosevelt with a sharp 63-38 victory. The victory was nothing new for Mount Si as they're now sitting on six straight.
Mount Si was led to victory by Trevor Hennig and Latt Ford. Hennig scored 20 points along with five rebounds, while Ford scored 21 points along with seven rebounds. Ford is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Forrest, who scored two points along with 12 assists and five rebounds.
Roosevelt's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Washington, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Huntington, who scored eight points.
Mount Si's win was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 22.65 points. As for Roosevelt, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-3.
Mount Si will head out on the road to face off against Skyline at 8:15 p.m. on Friday. Skyline will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Mount Si is ranked 21st). As for Roosevelt, they will be playing at home against Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lincoln is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
