The Lewisburg Green Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Central Mountain by a score of 66-63. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (60), Lewisburg still had to take the loss.
Hunter Hoy was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds for Central Mountain. Hoy is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Xaiver Persun was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Lewisburg's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Central Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
Lewisburg will stay at home for another game and welcome Warrior Run at 7:30 p.m. on February 12th. As for Central Mountain, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-65 loss vs. Chestnut Ridge on the 10th.
