Maranatha Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-17. As for La Jolla Country Day, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 24-9.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's matchup: Maranatha Christian has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.7 aces per game. However, it's not like La Jolla Country Day struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.5 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
