The James Valley Christian Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Mitchell Christian Golden Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, James Valley Christian didn't have too much trouble with the at home as they won 66-52.
Meanwhile, Mitchell Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They breezed by Sunshine Bible Academy on the road to the tune of 82-54. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Mitchell Christian had established a 21 point advantage.
Aiden Lieber was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 43 points and nine rebounds. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Mitchell Christian's points. Joseph Tegethoff was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten steals and five rebounds.
James Valley Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season. As for Mitchell Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-11.
James Valley Christian took their win against the Golden Eagles when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 69-43. With James Valley Christian ahead 33-13 at the half, the game was all but over already.
