Ridge Spring-Monetta's three-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They managed a 37-32 win over American Leadership Academy. The win was just what Ridge Spring-Monetta needed coming off of a 78-18 defeat in their prior match.
Taylah Leaphart and Kennedy Ligons were among the main playmakers for Ridge Spring-Monetta as the former scored 12 points along with seven steals and the latter scored ten points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Those seven steals set a new season-high mark for her.
Meanwhile, Blackville-Hilda escaped with a win on Thursday against Pelion by the margin of a single free throw, 33-32. The win made it back-to-back wins for Blackville-Hilda.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Blackville-Hilda to victory, but perhaps none more so than Breyanna Williams , who scored eight points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Those seven steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Eva Sapp, who scored 11 points along with seven steals.
Ridge Spring-Monetta's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Blackville-Hilda, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
