After flying high against the Northside Indians last Tuesday, the Crowell Wildcats came back down to earth. Crowell ended up on the wrong side of a rough 87-67 walloping at the hands of Benjamin on Saturday. Crowell has struggled against Benjamin recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Grayson Rigdon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Benjamin, dropping a triple-double on 49 points, ten rebounds, and 12 steals. That makes it 14 consecutive games in which Rigdon has scored at least a third of Benjamin's points. Another player making a difference was Keegan Hayes, who dropped a triple-double on 12 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists.
Crowell has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Benjamin, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crowell will take on Munday at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Benjamin, they will head out on the road to square off against Northside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Northside: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Benjamin has snatched up eight consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.
