Volleyball Recap: Grand Junction Central's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Grand Junction Central had lost nine straight headed into Saturday's matchup, but Delany Nostrand didn't let it get to ten. The Warriors came out on top against the Walsenburg Panthers by a score of 2-0 on Saturday thanks in part to Nostrand, who had eight aces and five digs. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Grand Junction Central was: they took both sets by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-10.

Grand Junction Central's win bumped their record up to 4-17. As for Walsenburg, they dropped their record down to 5-16 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.

Grand Junction Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Pueblo East on the 1st. As for Walsenburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Liberty on the 1st.
