After a string of six wins, Lakeshore's's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were dealt a 89-53 defeat at the hands of William Blount. While losing is never fun, Lakeshore can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 91st in Louisiana, while William Blount is ranked 17th in Tennessee).
Caden Windle continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for William Blount, shooting 5-for-7 from long range and dropping a double-double on 40 points and ten rebounds. The contest was Windle's 15th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grady Robertson, who almost dropped a triple-double on 14 points, nine rebounds, and ten assists.
Lakeshore's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for William Blount, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 14-1.
Lakeshore will take on Ascension Catholic at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. William Blount will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Nolensville at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th. Nolensville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
