Basketball Recap: First Academy Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

First Academy needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Aidan Jezowski. The First Academy Eagles breezed by the Liberty Christian Prep Lions to the tune of 56-15 on Tuesday thanks in part to Jezowski, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Logan Stalvey, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 19 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.8 rebounds per game.

First Academy's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7. As for Liberty Christian Prep, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

First Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-28 loss against Geneva on the 9th. As for Liberty Christian Prep, they will host Four Corners at 7:30 p.m. on January 14th.
