Sutherland and Williamsville South squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Sutherland had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Billies. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their 13-game winning streak.

Sutherland's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jamie Kotalik, who had 20 digs and one assist, and Jessie Powers, who had 19 kills and two aces. Powers has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more kills the last 15 times she's played.

Sutherland's loss dropped their record down to 38-3-2. As for Williamsville South, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Sutherland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Williamsville South, after both having extra time off, they and Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake will shake off the rust and duke it out at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
