Marionville has gone 8-2 against Miller recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Comets will host the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Miller will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Marionville extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Comets breezed past Ash Grove to the tune of 34-7. The Comets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by 20 points or more this season.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Marionville's defense and their four sacks. Ryder White was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. Another thorn in Ash Grove's side was Cash Pomeroy, who made 13 total tackles (3.0 for loss) and defended one pass.
Meanwhile, Miller hadn't done well against Pierce City recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Cardinals came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 34-21.
Miller's win came from a few key players Marionville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaylen Madsen, who rushed for 80 yards and two TDs, and also picked up 101 receiving yards and one score. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (177.1). Paul Nunez was another key player, gaining 147 total yards and two touchdowns.
Miller was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 234 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 165 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Marionville's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Miller, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Bryer Guerin and Madsen. Guerin just won't slow down this season and has averaged 8.5 total tackles per game. Madsen has been a dominant force too and has thrown 6 touchdowns while averaging 53.8 passing yards per game.
