Devin Craig was his usual excellent self, throwing for 347 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.9 yards per attempt. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Brayden Parsley was Craig's top target, picking up 129 receiving yards and one TD.
Lapel's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Will Gilbert, Mason Kenemer, and Ben Peterson, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Meanwhile, Brownstown Central made easy work of Linton-Stockton on Friday and carried off a 43-18 win. The Braves pushed the score to 36-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Miners cut but never quite recovered from.
Lapel better keep an eye on Micah J Sheffer. He was instrumental in Brownstown Central's win, rushing for 104 yards, while also throwing for 107 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Brownstown Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 348 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 230 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
