The Wakefield Bombers lost against the Washington County Tigers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Wakefield fell just short of Washington County by a score of 37-35. Wakefield has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Bombers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Allison Adams, who scored 7 points along with 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Adams is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Grace Rohr, who scored 5 points along with 11 rebounds.
Wakefield now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Washington County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Wakefield will face off against Pike Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Pike Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday. As for Washington County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Smith Center on Tuesday. Smith Center is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
