Volleyball Recap: Greenbrier Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Greenbrier can now relate to. They came up short against the Shiloh Christian Saints on Tuesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Panthers have suffered since October 2nd.

Despite the loss, Greenbrier saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aubrie Aich had 11 digs and two aces. Aich is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Shiloh Christian was led to victory by Kennedy Brown and Bristol Bonanno. Brown had eight digs and three aces, while Bonanno had 15 digs. Those three aces gave Brown a new career-high.

With the defeat, Greenbrier broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 17-13. As for Shiloh Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 21-14-1 record this season.

Greenbrier does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shiloh Christian, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Farmington on the 29th.
