Football Recap: Walpole Skates Past Dover with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Walpole). They breezed past the Dover Green Wave to the tune of 35-7 on Saturday. The Timberwolves pushed the score to 28-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Green Wave had little chance of recovering from.

Walpole is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.6 points over those games. As for Dover, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Walpole and Weymouth will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 10:00 a.m. on the 27th. The Wildcats' defense has only allowed 10.2 points per game this season, so the Timberwolves' offense will have their work cut out for them. Dover does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
