Basketball Recap: Seneca Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Seneca extended their winning streak to four on Monday, bumping them up to 4-0. They came out on top against the Wren Hurricanes by a score of 87-78. The Bobcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Seneca's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chaz Moss, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and 12 rebounds. With that strong performance, Moss is now averaging an impressive 16 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Webb, who went 7-for-16 to rack up 23 points and seven boards.

Seneca smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 14 consecutive games dating back to last season.

As for Wren, they now have a losing record of 1-2. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (57), they still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Wren still got an impressive performance from Drey Jackson, who shot 40% from the field en route to 25 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Kam Rice, who posted 13 points and five steals.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Seneca will face off against Easley at 7:30 p.m. on the 9th. As for Wren, they will square off against Powdersville at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
