St. Maries is 1-9 against Timberlake since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Lumberjacks will take on the Tigers at 2:00 p.m. St. Maries has given up an average of 10.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Timberlake). They put the hurt on Priest River with a sharp 17-2 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won three games by nine runs or more so far this season.
Ryker Brennan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, Dane Perkl and Eric Wylie did most of the damage at the plate: Perkl scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Wylie scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Perkl also put up a triple, which was his first of the season. James Moore was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
Timberlake was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Priest River only posted a batting average of .267.
Timberlake has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. St. Maries has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .458. However, it's not like Timberlake struggles in that department as they've averaged .464. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
