Morris extended the longest winning streak in Northern Illinois Big 12 - East this week by beating Sycamore, 13-0. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Rochelle and Yorkville played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Rochelle eventually emerging with a 44-41 victory.
Morris' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Zach Cinnamon threw for 54 yards and Anthonee Monson had 48 yards receiving. On the ground Cinnamon chipped in 68 yards. Collin Grogan helped Morris' passing attack out by catching one ball for six yards.
Morris' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Redskins feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Cinnamon has thrown for 444 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Monson has nine catches for 180 yards. Reese Sobol leads the league in rushing with 403 yards.
Two of the top units in Northern Illinois Big 12 - East will face off this week when Alan Thorson's team takes on DeKalb. The Redskins' offense has racked up 182 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Barbs have allowed only 214 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Morris takes on DeKalb. As it stands, the Redskins are in first, while Marty Sanders's team is in sixth.
Kaneland took down the Barbs 66-23 last week, the largest margin of any game.
