The Fairbury Jeffs had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Diller-Odell by a score of 40-29 on Tuesday. The victory was just what Fairbury needed coming off of a 60-23 loss in their prior match.
Blake Starr continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 11 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Drew Watson, who scored ten points.
Diller-Odell's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Cooper Morgan, who scored six points along with six rebounds and four steals, and Braydin Wendland who scored seven points.
The victory got Fairbury back to even at 4-4. As for Diller-Odell, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
Fairbury is on the road again on Thursday and play against Bruning-Davenport/Shickley at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Bruning-Davenport/Shickley is ranked 162nd, while Fairbury is ranked 140th). Diller-Odell will be home for the holidays to greet Hanover on Thursday. Hanover is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
