Burbank has won three straight games at home, while Lancaster has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Bulldogs will welcome the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Thursday, Burbank really took it to Burroughs for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-14 victory. With the Bulldogs ahead 42-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Deshawn Laporte had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 466 yards and eight TDs while completing 92.3% of his passes. Laporte is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season. Chase Miles also helped out as he racked up 122 receiving yards.
Burbank's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Aidan Dagher with 2.5 sacks.
Meanwhile, Lancaster hadn't done well against Antelope Valley recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Eagles simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Antelopes 47-6. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Antelopes are ranked 911th).
Burbank better focus on containing Arthur Turner and Michael Marsenich as the pair were huge in Lancaster's win. Turner gained 120 total yards and three touchdowns, while Marsenich threw for 223 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes. Marsenich's passing game has become a key predictor of Lancaster's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Jaheim Redmond was in the mix as well, providing the Eagles with two scores.
Lancaster's run defense was locked in: Antelope Valley could only muster 2.1 yards per carry. The team can thank Davien Cathcart for the heroic effort on defense: he. Lancaster didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.6.
Lancaster didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Prophet Cathcart, Skylar Batchelor, and Peter Clarke picked up one apiece.
Burbank's record now sits at 8-2. As for Lancaster, their record is now an identical 8-2.
Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Laporte and Marsenich. Laporte just won't slow down this season and has thrown 49 touchdowns (and and only 5 picks) while averaging 377.1 passing yards per game. Marsenich has been a dominant force too and has thrown 28 touchdowns (and and only 4 pick) while averaging 218.5 passing yards per game.
The upcoming game will be a clash of competing strengths. Burbank has relied on air attacks this season and has averaged 339.4 passing yards per game. Lancaster, on the other hand, has relied on a stout run game: they average 254.3 rushing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on Friday? There's only one way to find out.
