Avon led Great Plains (9 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 59 points on Marty Indian. Brandon Kocmich ran for 50 yards in the win.
The Pirates' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Logan Mudder threw for three yards and Jacob Knodel had three yards receiving.
Mudder made the biggest impact on defense this week as Avon bested the Braves. The 6-foot-4 sophomore pulled down one interception.
South Central co-op [Bonesteel-Fairfax/Burke]'s Turner Serr and Garrett Bruns have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Serr has thrown for 264 yards this season, while Bruns, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has eight catches for 199 yards. The Pirates' Kocmich leads the league in rushing yards with 619.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Cougars take on Andes Central. South Central co-op [Bonesteel-Fairfax/Burke] is in fourth place, while the Eagles are in third place.
