The Milton Panthers put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Niceville as Milton made off with a 62-42 win. 62 seems to be a good number for Milton as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Milton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Christopher Jaylen mckinley led the charge by scoring 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Treymar Jones, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Jackson Kowal and Jackson Hamman certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Kowal scored eight points, while Hamman scored seven points.
Niceville struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Milton pushed their record up to 7-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Niceville, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Milton will take on Pace at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pace will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 567th, while Milton is ranked 54th). As for Niceville, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Crestview at 7:00 p.m. Crestview is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 65.2 points per game.
