Jenkins were successful in their last outing against Islands, and they didn't afford Islands any payback this time around. Jenkins got past Islands with less than a touchdown to spare, ending up at 18-14.
Jenkins' offense had trouble getting into gear in the first half and closed the half with six points. Islands countered with 14 points to make it 6-14 going into the half. In the second half, however, Jenkins' defense made a stand and allowed a meager 0 points. The game brought them to 4-1 and dropped Islands to a mirror-image 1-4.
Jenkins will look to defend their home turf next week against Southeast Bulloch at 1:00 PM. Those two teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous games. As for Islands, they will face off against Johnson.
