After flying high against the Perkins County Plainsmen last Thursday, the Chase County Longhorns came back down to earth. Chase County took a 47-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Perkins County on Tuesday. Chase County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Perkins County apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played.
Chase County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Easton Fries, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Fries is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tristan Jablonski, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Chase County's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Perkins County, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.
Chase County's road trip will continue as they head out to face Holyoke at 4:00 p.m. on January 25th. As for Perkins County, they will face off against Bridgeport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
