The Parkway South Patriots lost against the McCluer North Stars back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Parkway South was dealt a 57-19 loss at the hands of McCluer North. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Parkway South has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Parkway South had strong showings from Ryan Shanfeld, who scored four points, and Jacob Sidwell, who scored two points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Parkway South struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Parkway South has not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. As for McCluer North, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkway South's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Lindbergh at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. One thing working in Lindbergh's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests. As for McCluer North, they will be playing at home against Hazelwood West at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. McCluer North knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Hazelwood West likes a good challenge.
