The Zion Chapel Rebels typically have all the answers at home, but on Thursday the Highland Home Flying Squadron proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 59-48 victory over the Rebels. Winning may never get old, but Highland Home sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Zion Chapel's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Stuart, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Chestnut, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Highland Home is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Zion Chapel, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-7.
Highland Home will head out on the road to take on Goshen at 8:30 p.m. on Monday. Zion Chapel won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pike Liberal Arts at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Pike Liberal Arts will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 361st, while Zion Chapel is ranked 147th).
