Jefferson had a rough outing against Armwood last Friday, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Jefferson strolled past Middleton with points to spare on Friday, taking the contest 26-7. That's another feather in the cap for Jefferson, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Jefferson got off to a sluggish start, posting zero total points in the first half. As for Middleton, they scored seven to put Jefferson at a 0-7 disadvantage heading into the break. The Jefferson offense took control in the second half, however, scoring 26 points. The win got Jefferson back to even at 3-3. The loss dropped Middleton's record to 2-3.
Next week Jefferson take on Hillsborough at 7:30 PM. Both of those teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins. Middleton will be staying on the road, facing off against Blake. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
