The Evangelical Christian Eagles lost against the Northpoint Christian Trojans back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Evangelical Christian took a serious blow against Northpoint Christian, falling 45-12. While losing is never fun, Evangelical Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 224th in Tennessee, while Northpoint Christian is ranked 76th in Mississippi).
Despite the loss, Evangelical Christian still got an impressive performance from Emmanuel Moss, who rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. Moss' longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards.
Northpoint Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Damontae' Dillard #22 rb gpa 3.53, who rushed for 179 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Patterson, who threw for 252 yards and two touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes.
Evangelical Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Northpoint Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Evangelical Christian will head out on the road to face off against Webb at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Webb will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. Northpoint Christian will take on Pope John Paul II at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pope John Paul II is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
